Clinical Psychology

Service Overview

I provide individual clinical psychology sessions and assessments for adults, with Medicare and private health insurance rebates available.

I offer individual clinical psychology sessions for adults, grounded in a trauma-informed, collaborative, and non-judgemental approach. Therapy begins with taking time to understand your concerns, your history, and what feels most important for you to work on. Together, we develop a shared understanding of the patterns, coping strategies, and emotional responses that may be contributing to your current difficulties, always working at a pace that feels safe and respectful.

Sessions provide a supportive space to explore experiences such as anxiety, low mood, chronic self-criticism, emotional overwhelm, relational difficulties, personality disorders, perinatal mental health concerns, and the impacts of trauma. My aim is not to “fix” you, but to help you build awareness, emotional safety, and a more compassionate relationship with yourself, while developing skills and insights that support meaningful and sustainable change.

My work draws on evidence-based therapies including Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). These approaches are integrated flexibly, depending on your needs and goals. For some people, therapy focuses on developing emotion regulation skills, reducing self-criticism, and strengthening a sense of stability; for others, it may involve carefully paced trauma processing once sufficient safety and resourcing are in place.

I am mindful that therapy can feel challenging or unfamiliar at times, particularly if you have experienced invalidation, trauma, or difficulty feeling safe in relationships. Sessions are guided by openness, collaboration, and ongoing check-ins about how the work is feeling for you. You are encouraged to provide feedback, ask questions, and have an active voice in shaping the direction of therapy.

I offer a warm, inclusive, and affirming therapeutic space that respects the full context of each person’s identity, neurodivergence, and lived experience. I have additional training in working with neurodivergence, including ADHD and autism, am committed to LGBTQIA+ affirmative practice, and provide WPATH assessments for adults.
